Majorettes
Why join us?
We are a very sucessful troupe, with many national titles to date. We are members of a well established federation, The United Kingdom Federation of Majorettes and regularly compete with them.
Both boys and Girls are welcomed!
We train very hard on Fridays at Westlands School Main hall in Beeches Road, Chelmsford, Essex.
Whole Troupe Training
Every Friday! 6 - 8
Girls are trained in a variety of different majorette equipment (Its not just batons!) and encouraged to participate in group work as well as solos.
We partake in lots of local events like carnivals and fetes in Spring to Autumn and we see an awful lot of the county.
Majorettes is excellent for children and young people. It promotes discipline, social skills, excercise and co-ordination as well as learning a new skill. UKFM is also a recognised skill of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.
We are a very big family, we look out for each other and are very friendly and supportive.
We ask all of our members to turn up in thier uniform -
